Supplementing them with Vitamin C proved to significantly decrease lipopolysaccharide-induced proinflammatory cytokine production while simultaneously increasing antiviral IFN production; furthermore, its presence facilitated their proliferative, differentiation/maturation functions as well as resistance against various cell death stimuli.
